Responsibilities:
Operate machinery to cut, score, fold, trim, bind, and finish the final printed product.
Read work orders and set the machine in accordance with job specifications.
Complete trial run and evaluates the quality and appearance of the product.
Adjust machinery as needed prior to starting the project.
Ensure that binding machines are in proper working order.
Deliver completed orders to shipping area.
Mailing experience a big plus! Help in offset and digital print areas Receive and stock paper when necessary.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Ability to work with folding, trimming, drilling, creasing, collating, and binding machines.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to read work orders and follow instructions.
Excellent time management skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent mechanical skills and ability to troubleshoot problems with machinery.
Education and
Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Previous related experience preferred.
On-the-job training provided.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of standing during machine operation and working in a loud environment.
Must be physically able to operate and repair machine, which may involve bending, squatting, and crawling.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
