4 Full-time 2 hours ago Full Job Description JOB DESCRIPTION Leads analysis and financial support for strategic planning, practice acquisitions and assessments, physician/provider productivity and incentive compensation, and financial management/performance improvement.
Responsible for successful execution of physician compensation and payment model.
Manages professional billing workflows, including maximizing charge capture, denial reduction and pre-authorization process for Riverview Health Physicians.
Responsible for budget development Supports practice managers in ensuring proper cost accounting operations and accountability.
Provides and monitors KPI's for all RHP practices to ensure maximum reimbursement is achieved.
Serve as a resource person or consultant to employed physicians on specific finance-related problems.
Serve as a resource person to the Executive team, Directors and Managers on finance related issues.
Serves as liaison with auditors.
Maintain a current policy and procedure manual for the department as well as ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory/accreditation agency requirements.
Perform duties as an active member of the healthcare team.
Demonstrate knowledge of team dynamics and contributes to team building and skills related to participation in and strengthening of the multidisciplinary team approach to the delivery of patient care and organization function.
Prepares analytical reports and proforma financial statements concerning existing and new programs and services.
Maintains and recommends charge master updates and calculates impact on expected cash and contractual reserve accruals.
Demonstrates expertise in financial modeling and analytics with strong background using spreadsheets, graphics, and financial software.
Other duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS Level of Education Minimum:
Baccalaureate degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or similar field.
Preferred:
Masters Business Administration or Masters in Healthcare Administration or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation.
Level of Experience Minimum:
Requires three to five years of experience in accounting and/or financial supervision.
Considerable progressive responsibility and administrative experience in physician practice financial management, including revenue cycle management.
Preferred:
Seven years of experience as Accounting Manager/Controller and Physician compensation experience.
